Welcome

Marta Gaia Zanchi is a graduating Ph.D. Candidate in the electrical engineering program at Stanford University. She works part-time as a Product Marketing Engineer with LitePoint, a privately held wireless technology company specializing in the design, manufacture, and sale of some of the worlds’ most advanced test instruments and solutions. In her spare time, Marta studies an M.F.A in Photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

At Stanford University, Marta is a research assistant with the Magnetic Resonance Systems Research Laboratory led by her principal advisor Prof. John Pauly. Her secondary advisor is Prof. Thomas H. Lee, leader of the Stanford Microwave Integrated Systems Laboratory. With her mentor and senior researcher Dr. Greig C. Scott, she develops control systems for magnetic resonance imaging transmitter arrays. She is also a long-time student of technical and professional writing at the Stanford School of Engineering, mentored by novelist Dr. Evelin Sullivan.

With the marketing team of LitePoint, Marta acts as a conduit between different functional divisions to help define new products, develop product positioning, and maintain and improve existing products. LitePoint, based in the heart of Silicon Valley, services the world’s largest brands and technology companies in the wireless space by developing and delivering innovative solutions that test, tune and optimize multiple radios, concurrently, quickly, and inexpensively.

At the Academy of Art University, Marta attends the night and online classes to build on her knowledge of fine art and commercial photography. Her favorite subjects are wildlife, landscape, and architecture. She enjoys cultivating the art of traditional black and white photography as much as learning digital darkroom techniques.
